Actress, singer, and UNICEF ambassador Selena Gomez will visit her hometown of Dallas on Saturday, December 5 to take part in the 21st annual Capital One Bank Adolphus Children's Parade.
"It's always great to come home and visit family and friends, but coming home to be a part of the Capital One Bank Adolphus Children's Parade makes my visit extra special," Gomez said. The Wizards of Waverly Place star grew up in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie, Texas.
Gomez' single "Falling Down" also reached the No. 1 spot in Radio Disney's "Top 30 Countdown with Jake" this week. After host Jake Whetter surprised her with a phone call to tell her the good news, the singer exclaimed, "What? Are you kidding me? OMG, I’m number one! That’s so crazy! Thank You! I’ve never ever had number one and I listen to the countdown."
