Album art for More Than A Game soundtrack

More Than a Game is a documentary that chronicles the beginnings of a basketball team that originated in Akron, Ohio. Most noted for having future NBA superstar on their roster, LeBron James, the film follows the team that experiences the highs and lows of stardom and the day in and day out tests to their brotherhood.

To go along with the project is a soundtrack that holds just as much credibility as the documentary. With music’s top artists such as Mary J. Blige, T.I., Eminem, and Jay-Z to name a few lending their voices to create music inspired by the film, the album is surely the perfect match for the highly anticipated movie.

The soundtrack opens up with “Drop It Low” that features newcomer Ester Dean with an appearance from Chris Brown. The song stands as Chris Brown’s comeback into music since his February 8th incident. Fans will more than likely flock to the album for the standout tracks “Forever” from Drake that features Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem and Jay-Z’s “History” that made its debut during the early months of summer.

The song that will certainly capture the hearts of movie audiences that live for a great inspirational song will be Mary J. Blige’s “Stronger”. The single is also tapped to appear on her album that shares the same title and is scheduled for a November release.

The tracks on the More Than A Game soundtrack are uplifting with just the right amount of bump to keep you entertained and wanting more. There is a little of everything on the album for the car music blasting fanatics to the hook admiring music lovers. You can tell that each song selected (a selection process that LeBron played a big part in) for the compilation, was chosen to correlate with the movie. Each track does the job of telling its very own story.

Standout Tracks: “Forever”, “History”, “Stronger”, “King On Set”, "If You Dream"

The More Than A Game soundtrack is scheduled for release September 29th. The movie hits NY, LA, and Cleveland theaters October 2nd.
