This may be the trend and one of the most popular topics for the week to come. It appears that everyone with an opinion are talking about R&B singer (and soon to be ex-wife of rapper Nas)  Kelis' big pay day in court; and it is safe to conclude that not too many people are pleased with the outcome.

A day after giving birth to their son Knight, a judge ordered Nas to fork over more than $44,000 a month to Kelis in child support in addition to their Los Angeles home and over $30,000 to pay for Kelis' legal fees.

Blogs and gossip websites have made this situation into major blog headlines, riling up fans and spectators alike who either strongly agree or disagree with the judges decision.

Rappers Method Man and Redman recently sat down for an interview with EZStreetShow.com to give their take on the situation and did not hesitate to lay out exactly how they felt.

Both rappers felt that the ordered settlement was unjustified and absurd. They felt that it was completely out of line to order Nas to pay that large of a sum to a woman he once called wife, and felt that it was heartless to have the situation escalate to where it is right now.

Warning: The video may contain explicit language.

The two maintain the fact that they respect women with all sincerity, but believe that the one's that take men to court to acquire funds that are a little out of the ordinary after a break up are wrong and need to stand by their "independent woman" titles and be just that, independent.

Method Man and Redman released their highly anticipated album Blackout 2 in May of this year and have publicy shown interest in touring with Eminem. The duo are currently working on the sequel to How High that is appropriately titled How High 2
