Jay-Z.

In what seems like forever with everyone speculating on when Jay-Z's highly anticipated album will be released, has finally come to an end. The wait is finally over; the release date for Jay's Blueprint 3 is scheduled for a September 11th, 2009 release.

The album that is to be produced by Kanye West, will arrive to us 8 years to the day after he released his successful album Blueprint that was released on September 11th, 2001.

Though when the album was released the country and especially Jay's hometown of NYC was going through one of the most tragic events in history, the album did very well on the charts cementing Jay's place as the undefeated in the game and kick starting a trilogy of albums that has fans marking their calendars. Blueprint also gave us a formal introduction to mastermind producers Just Blaze and Kanye West.

Jay made headlines late last month when he bought out his contract with Def Jam to head on over to his own label where he will reside as head honcho, Roc Nation. Reports have confirmd that he will be releasing Blueprint 3 on Roc Nation and WMG/Atlantic will handle marketing, distribution, and promotion.

Jay-Z will officially kick off his tour with Ciara July 3rd, 2009 in Las Vegas.
