Jadakiss.

Jadakiss debuted his album The Last Kiss last week (04.07) and was welcomed with lukewarm reviews. The album was Jada's welcome back to Hip Hop and listeners were expecting a little more from Jada.

With that said, Jada hit the charts hard this week sitting pretty at the number 3 spot on albums sold in the week ending 4.12.09. He sold 134, 515 copies of his album, shocked much? Grabbing up the number one and two spots were country singer Rascal Flatts and singer Miley Cyrus.

New York Hip Hop has been critiqued and said to be no longer existent in the race to keep Hip Hop alive. Being the state of where Hip Hop originated from many have now passed the torch to the south for holding down the genre. Maybe Jada show's hope for the reincarnation and re-domination of Hip Hop in NYC.

Jada's album sale numbers stands as one of New York Hip Hop's best debut weeks in almost a year.

And they said people weren't buying albums anymore.
