It has been announced that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ highly anticipated performance at this year’s World Series has been rescheduled to occur on Thursday instead of today.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys are scheduled to perform their hit single “Empire State of Mind”, a song that appears on Jay-Z’s newest effort Blueprint 3. Alicia is also said to perform the national anthem.

According to MLB reps, their performance has been rescheduled for Thursday due to inclement weather that can adversely impact the staging for the performance. There has also been word that the rescheduling may have also occurred to accommodate First Lady Michelle Obama, who is rumored to attend the event.

The pre-game ceremony will take place at 7:30pm Eastern and will air on FOX
