Growing up, I had them, you more then likely had them. Do you know what I'm talking about? I'm talking about Troll dolls.

Trolls started out in Denmark in the early 1950s and were created by Thomas Dam.  The first Dam trolls were made out of wood, later, a soft rubber, then vinyl. They soon became known as "Those Dam Things" and are still one of the highest collectible items out there today.

In the 1960's other companies started making Trolls, such as Russ and Ace.  Ace is famous for making the Treasure Trolls, which are the trolls with the bejeweled belly buttons. Aces also have pointed ears and a broader nose where as Russ Trolls have more of a rounded face and friendlier look to them.

Trolls are once again becoming popular but now with every generation because there are so many kinds of trolls to choose from, you can get the treasure trolls, or one with rainbow hair, ones with costumes, personalized ones, or even the popular "lucky" trolls for bingo, the lottery, or just plain luck.

A local website for ordering trolls is

http://www.livinginthelightms.com/trolls

They have a wide selection of trolls, with reasonable prices, and speedy shipping.

My advice, go get yourself a troll, you know you want to.
