Silks poker room at Tampa Bay Downs is really mixing things up in September. First, they have new hours: Sunday – Thursday (12:30pm-12:30am) and Friday-Saturday (2:00pm-2am). There will be at least two tournaments each day. On Sunday-Thursday, tournaments will start at 12:30pm and 6:30pm and on Friday –Saturday; they will start at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. Registration for each tournament will end after the 2nd level. Remember, you can pre-register for your Silks tournament at ptseats.com.
The Silks is brave enough to try their high hand promotion two times this month: Thursday, September 17th and Saturday, September 27th. They will be giving away $599 every half-hour for the entire day. Check out a review of last month’s event. If you have a game preference, arrive early. Each table is marked with the slated game and you have to save your seat at the game. Last month, Omaha and Pineapple seats went fast.
If you like to plan ahead, be sure to consider playing in Silks Halloween tournament on October 30 & 31st. This $225 event will be capped at 200 entries per day with a guaranteed first prize of $25,000. The starting chips for this tournament are 10,000; however, there will be an optional $50 add-on for 5,000 additional units.
