Road Trip: Beau Rivage – Biloxi, MS

If you are looking for a fun, fall getaway; consider the Beau Rivage, in Biloxi, Mississippi. They have added a new charter package from the Tampa/St. Pete airport to Biloxi for as little as $199. This inclusive package includes airfare, hotel and ground transportation.
The
Beau Rivage has been named one of the top 100 hotels by Travel & Leisure Magazine. The hotel sits right on the water and many rooms offer a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Mexico. The rooms are well-appointed with a flat screen TV, soaking tub and separate shower and complementary bottled water in the room.
On the first floor, there is a shopping promenade, a phenomenal buffet and an AAA Diamond steak restaurant. This is a convention destination, so don’t be surprised to see a bunch of suits hanging around. Of course, I usually don’t see the suits; I see minnows!
This is a full-service casino with over 2,100 slot machines from .01 to $100 denominations. However, the jewel of this property is the poker room. The non-smoking room is located in the corner of the casino. It is multi-leveled, which makes the room flow well and feel spacious. The tables have nice felt and the chairs are very comfortable. Instead of raking each pot, they rake from each player on the half-hour for all no-limit games. They spread limit and no-limit Texas Hold’em and run a regular $10/$20 Omaha Hi-Lo game with a ½ kill. In addition, they have a daily Super Stack $100 tournament. On Wednesday night, seven of the tournament players were from the Tampa-St. Pete area; and one of them chopped first place with a local player.
Also, if you are planning to go within the next few weeks, be sure to check out the
IP Casino. They are hosting the first
WSOP satellite event in Biloxi. It is a 12 day event with multi-tournaments each day including Texas Hold’em, Stud and Omaha.
See you at the table in Biloxi…………
