#1 Michael McDowell’s Crash at Texas
This was kind of hard to watch, but in the end it proves just how far NASCAR safety has come. I was truly impressed that McDowell was able to walk away from a wreck that was much more violent then some others which claimed lives.
#2 Carl Edwards Dive bombs Jimmie Johnson at Kansas
Al Davis likes to say, "Just Win, Baby." Carl had to go for the win and had he been able to stick his car in there this would have been his finest win. People like complain that NASCAR drivers are always points racing, in this case I don't think that is true.
#3 Carl Edwards v Kyle Busch
Bristol Motor Speedway is everything Stock Car racing should be. Big fenders, short tempers, and awesome action. Little did we know it at the time but this really derailed Kyle Busch's season.
#4 NASCAR racing in the Rain
This is not the first time I had witnessed NASCAR in the rain since I watched the event in Japan many years ago where they qualified on rain tires, but this was an actual race, in stock cars, and in the rain. Maybe not the best racing ever but it was still pretty cool.
#5 Donny Lia bumps his way to victory lane
This was a very cool moment made more special because I was there sitting on the grass waiting for someone to bump someone out of the way. In my mind I had Todd Bodine bumping Lia out of the way but he never really pressed the issue. This is a great example of why truck series racing is the best NASCAR style racing.
