If you listen to LeBron James, he continues to get asked time after time about his future and where he'll play in two years. But, the best player in the game keep deflecting those questions, and basically just says that he'll see what happens when the time comes to continue his NBA career either in Cleveland or elsewhere.
“When I make that decision, it will be based on winning multiple championships,” James said before Tuesday’s game at the Izod Center vs the Nets. “If it’s moving elsewhere, I will have to weigh all my options.” The New Jersey media seemed to be obsessed with trying to get James to say he'd like to come to New Jersey to play for the Nets, but LBJ wasn't ready to fall for the trap.
“I’m happy where I’m at right now. We’ll see what happens in two years.”
As we've stated here before, the Cavs can offer LeBron more money than any other team in the league. While James has never seemed like the type that would stay in Cleveland or go elsewhere for the last dime, it's nice for Cavs fans to actually know that if it does come to cash, Cleveland is where he'll stay.
For now, he'll keep putting up 29.5 per game, averaging 7.8 rebounds per game, and 6.9 assists.
