Ultra liberal Democrats Obama and Pelosing are today
rejoicing over phase 1 in socializing healthcare
In a move demonstrating its blatant disregard for the will of the majority and the fundamental values that make America strong, the Democrat-controlled House of Representative voted in favor of the nearly 2,000 pages of virtually indecipherable claptrap sponsored by House Speaker uber-liberal Nancy Pelosi. Despite months of extemporaneous, clearly articulated dissent from patriotic citizens, including a protest rally this past Thursday of an impromptu crowd of nearly 50,000, the Democrats have made it clear they intend to billet socialism in the same bunk as our God given freedom.
Literally voting under the cover of dark, belying its dark underpinnings, the measure passed the House 
last evening at 11:19 P.M. by a vote of 220 to 215 with all but 36 Democrats voting "Yea" and all but 1 Republican, Anh “Joseph” Cao (left) who represents Louisiana's 2nd Congressional District, voting "Nea." Cao put a particularly disturbing “spin” on his vote, posting on his website, “Cao votes... to protect the health of all Americans.” If only that were so.
Pelosi partner in crime Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada (below left) in a statement on the subject said, "We realize the strong will for reform that exists, and we are energized that we stand closer than ever to reforming our broken health insurance system." This in spite of the fact that the will of 61% of Americans eschew a government run public option health care system. Strong? There something strong wafting in the air coming from Reid, Pelosi, and Obama’s general direction alright, but decorum prohibits a specific description.
Obama's written statement, as one would expect, praised the House's action and read, "now the United States Senate must follow suit and pass its version of the legislation. I am absolutely confident it will." God forbid!
With unemployment snowballing into double digits for the first time in decades and a tenuous situation continuing to deteriorate in Afghanistan, Americans have been urging the Obama Administration and 
the legislature to shift its focus to areas that will help our country extract itself from the train wreck of a downward spiraling economy and to implement the necessities to win a war over which many believe another 9-11 attack could hang in the balance if not won.
However, the myopic politicians continue unabated in their fervent endeavor to socialize America instead. Obama and the Democrats have chosen to concentrate on advancing a health care agenda under which millions will remain without health care insurance and that which burdens every class of Americans including those who seek to have their Oliver Twist worldview massaged by politicians who clearly don't give a damn about them, but only said politicians own self-interest.
The November 2010 elections are just over 365 days away and the next Presidential election just about 1,100. With the continued battle cry of American patriots ringing in their ears, whatever these traitors to liberty have in store for us in the interim, let it not be without the uproar of boisterous opposition from those who are true to the principles which undergird the greatest nation in history.
Benjamin Franklin once satirically wrote in his “Rules by Which a Great Empire may be Reduced to 
a Small One,” that “If the Parliaments of your Provinces should dare to claim Rights or complain of your Administration, order them to be harassed with repeated Dissolutions. If the same Men are continually returned by new Elections, adjourn their Meetings to some Country Village where they cannot be accommodated, and there keep them during Pleasure; for this, you know, is your PREROGATIVE; and an excellent one it is, as you may manage it, to promote Discontents among the People, diminish their Respect, and increase their Disaffection.
Satire or not, it’s way past time for freedom loving Americans to put aside party and prejudice, look at the way liberty is being trampled, and take up arms (figuratively) against the usurpers who strongly desire to fundamentally transform the founder’s vision of the United States of America into something truly, horribly unrecognizable.
