New MechWarrior official, series reboot

It has been officially reported to IGN that the new MechWarrior is a reboot of the series, not a sequel. In addition to screenshots, a video trailer has been shared showcasing the style of gameplay.
Long-time fans of the series will be pleased, as the gameplay looks as true to the originals as could be hoped. In addition, the title will be coming to both PC and Xbox 360, allowing fans that can't afford the PC upgrade a chance to play the latest installment.
The gameplay video can be viewed below. Currently no word on a release date.
