Team17 to spawn an Alien Breed remake

Anyone old enough to remember that Alien Breed game for the Amiga and DOS? Didn't think so. However, for the few fans of the original and anyone just looking for some classic arcade style action, Team 17 has announced they are at work on a remake of the 1991 top-down shooter.
The game's visual perspective is similar to classic Zelda games, but the play style has more in common with Contra than anything else. Inspired by James Cameron's Aliens, the game will feature a full single-player campaign in addition to co-op play.
Look for more information to be announced later this summer, including video footage and more screenshots.
