November is National Family Caregiver Month. Being a caregiver is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Whether you are a parent to a child, have an elderly person in your life, are devoted to your pet or work professionally as a caregiver, you are a hero.  To celebrate and raise awareness, Care.com is calling all care heroes.

Care.com CEO and Founder, Sheila Lirio Marcelo, said "Caregivers give and give so much every day, so we are excited for the opportunity to recognize them. As part of National Family Caregiver Month, we want to hear stories about the people who go to great lengths to care for the ones they love."

Care.com is searching for the 2010 Care.com Care Hero. You can nominate someone as a Care Hero here on Facebook.   Share their photo and a short story of why you think they should win, then get your friends involved in helping to choose the year’s Care Hero—their comments on your nominee’s photo will help them win the contest.

The Grand Prize winner will be chosen at the end of November 2009 and be named the 2010 Care.com Care Hero and receive a $500 night out “Care Package” including a hotel stay, tickets to a show and a dinner - all provided by Care.com. The person who nominated the winner will also win a $100 restaurant gift certificate! There are also weekly winners of $100 restaurant gift certificates, and the nominator of the weekly winner will get a free 3-month Premium Membership to Care.com where they can find information on quality caregivers in their area and even do free background checks.

Care.com offers various levels of membership, including a free option. You can search all of Los Angeles or specifically by your zip code.
