This week, October 18-24, is Teen Read Week, and this year's theme is Read Beyond Reality.

For this event, there are many activity ideas, planning resources, and publicity tools that educators can use to make this a fun an exciting week! Some of the activities include read-a-thons, creating maps of the fictional worlds read about, volunteer work, games, and comparing books to the movies.

Teen Read Week is an initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association and began in 1998.
