ALICIA KEYS AND FANS BUILD “THE ELEMENTS OF FREEDOM WALL” TO PROMOTE HER NEW ALBUM ‘THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM’ AND SPREAD AWARENESS FOR AIDS

SANTA MONICA, CA (November 18th, 2009) – On November 13th, twelve-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and philanthropist Alicia Keys will launch a call-to-action online campaign to promote her new album “The Element of Freedom” and raise awareness for World AIDS Day on December 1st.

With the goal of spreading worldwide awareness, Alicia and her fans will build “The Elements of Freedom Wall” - an ever expanding digital wall of fan profile pictures (“elements”) hosted exclusively at: http://elements.aliciakeys.com

Once fans arrive at the exclusive site built by Culture Jam Labs, they will enter their initials and allow their avatar picture to be instantly uploaded to the site as an “element” on Alicia’s Freedom Wall. As an “element” on the Freedom Wall, participants will be able to use social media platforms Facebook and Twitter to invite others to join, pre-order the new album, purchase her new singles “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” on November 17th and “Doesn’t Mean Anything” from itunes, and download a custom wallpaper of their “element” on the Freedom Wall to support the cause.

Fans can also make a direct donation to Alicia’s charity Keep A Child Alive; which is dedicated to providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care and support services to children and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

Alicia Keys’ fifth album “The Element of Freedom” is scheduled to release on December 15th on MBK/J Records. Join Alicia and help spread “The Element of Freedom” and World AIDS Day awareness across the globe.
