Ahmadinejad tells Obama to choose between Israel and Iran
Using Obama’s mantra of “change” as a means to make his point, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made a statement that, “The support of both Israel and Iran can’t go hand in hand. No change is made unless great choices are made.”  According to www.jpost.com, Ahmadinejad’s ultimatum toward Obama came forth at the 25th Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. Ahmadinejad also blamed capitalism for the present global economic crisis, and suggested the Islamic banking system as a solution. What an interesting idea.

According to the 2008 World Factbook, Iran’s unemployment rate is at 11 percent, they are experiencing double-digit inflation, and he has, “failed to make any notable progress in fulfilling the goals of the nation's latest five-year plan.”   In addition, the Iranian government’s strangle-hold on the economic and manufacturing sectors, especially in the areas of food and energy, are causing severe hardship and shortages among the people and businesses. Yeah, sounds like Ahmadinejad has a real good plan, there. Not too far removed from what Washington would like to accomplish through cap and trade and healthcare reforms. Scary.

To make matters even more interesting, the Jerusalem Post also reported that, “Iran’s defense minister on Wednesday urged Russia to ignore Israeli pressure against selling the S-300 missile defense system to the Islamic Republic. ‘We have a contract with Russia to buy the S-300 missiles. I don’t think it is right for Russia to be seen in the world as a country which does not fulfill its contractual obligations.’”  WHAT?!! When one considers that Obama recently abandoned America’s Eastern European allies by scrapping a missile defense system that was promised to them, it’s enough to make the blood of every patriotic American boil! Especially when Obama didn’t even talk to Putin about concessions before he did it! Nothing about pulling back from their promise to help Iran with its nuclear enrichment program; nothing about putting a stop to selling weapons of war to Venezuela’s Chavez who has promised to attack our Columbian ally; and nothing about removing those nuclear powered subs that Russia has patrolling the international waters off of our east cost. But Iran didn’t hesitate to warn Russia that if they betray Iran, that it would certainly, “be a negative point in relations between the two countries.”

And so Obama is being told that he must choose. How interesting that such an ultimatum is being given by an extremist Muslim leader of a Muslim country on the heels of a Muslim extremist terrorist attack at the Fort Hood military base. In fact, that terror attack is quickly going down in history as one of the worst on American soil, and the Muslim extremist who carried it out has so many ties to al Qaeda that the FBI is still investigating them all! It was also Muslim extremists that flew the planes into the towers in New York.  Notice, it wasn’t Jews who did these things to Americans.  Yet Washington pressures Israel, a country with whom we are supposed to be friends, to stop building settlements in their own country and to surrender part of their land at the demand of the Muslim extremist leader of Iran. Perhaps Ahmadinejad is looking for a formal statement from Obama.
