If you were thinking of taking your Dad out to a "manly" lunch--involving barbeque, steaks, and anything grilled, here's an easy recession special.

Fleming's Steakhouse is offering a Father's Day brunch deal--you treat your Dad to a meal, and they'll treat him with a $25 dining card for a future visit to Fleming's, valid until July 20, 2009.

Brunch (go here for menu) is a three-course special prix fixe menu that will be served 11:30am to 3pm. Regular menus will also be available throughout the day.

The cost is $29.95 per person.

The drawback? Bovine protein of choice in the prix fixe menu is filet mignon, which is not as spectacular as having a New York strip or rib-eye, but Fleming's is not a non-profit organizaton and they have to watch their costs, too. So it's up to personal taste.

The advantage? Wnes by the glass--a signature feature. Fleming's boasts an expansive collection of one hundred wines by the glass, widely acclaimed as the "Fleming's 100", which means you can pick and choose and try more than one type over the course of the meal without having to resort to Yellowtail or the equivalent of Two Buck Chuck.

You can reserve online or call (617) 292-0808 to secure a spot.

(Their website is actually informative and very well organized-it's easy to browse menus and wine choices, making it  simpler for you to decide.)
