Monday barbeque anyone?

'Tis the season. Come on. June isn't June without some barbeque fun--that goes for any day of the week. Especially when you don't want to create the mess in your own backyard, and you'd rather have someone else wine you and wine you for a change.

The Village Smokehouse in Lowell, MA is hosting an evening of food and wine this Monday, June 15th, at 7pm. You will get a buffet of Texas style BBQ complete with varous wine samples from The Cono Sur Winery in Chile throughout the course of the dinner--the whole spectrum, really--including their Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chilean signature Carmenere, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Lowell location is a sister restaurant to the known and chrerished Village Smehouse in Brookline. This new location has been in operations since October 2008.

Cono Sur is a prolific wine producer with a portfolio of grape varietals and styles from basic to super premium. Like with most Chilean wines, you will get great value for your dollar. This isn't said lightly--Chile's climate is like dying and going to wine heaven--a paradise on earth for wine growing. They provide quality grape juice--consistently, doggedly conquering the US market one bottle at a time. And they manage to do this without overproducing and flooding the market with jammy grape juice.

So it only makes sense to pair reasonably priced summer barbeque with decent vino to celebrate the long-awaited for season.
