In about two weeks' time, Friday, May 8th, 2009, the Crowne Plaza hotel in Natick will host a 5-course dinner accompanied by wines from Rosenblum Cellars.
It is recession, sure. Everyone is out for a deal--or at least for a good time. But it is also spring. Precious sun is in the air (never mind the current lack of warmth). What better way to create a deicious experience on a Friday night than pick out a wine pairing dinner just for the fun of it? A proper setting will make you feel like you are on vacation even if it takes place in your own neck of the woods. And it won't ravage your wallet, either.
Good food and wine are pleasures almost anyone can affort to indulge in without spending hundreds of dollars on an escape flight to "somewhere" that rarely materializes given our hectic schedules.
Boston Metro, being such a fantastic wine market, attracts the best and the brightest chefs and wine folks for your taste buds' entertainment. Yes, you deserve it. You dealt with a long winter, brief daylight, and long commutes. You yearned for spring and sunshine.
Why not consider one night of fun?
Rosenblum, a comparatively young winery by California standards, is mostly renowned for its Zinfandels. But they do have a poftfolio they want to feature for you to demonstrate several of their wines that pair with creative food art. You will taste Cuvee Chardonnay and Zinfandel, a special Syrah and Zinfandel Reserve, and round it all off with a chocolate-friendly dessert wine. To check out the full meal menu, visit the hotel's site here and click on "view full menu here".
The event will start at 6pm. Cost is $65/person.
Mark your calendars for what promises to be a great time.
