A sizzling dance show and new musical hit the boards, while Jersey Boys and Mamma Mia celebrate

Shows, come they go, this summer may seems dismal but, years before Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance turned ballroom dancing into must-see TV, one sizzling show was setting stages ablaze around the globe. Burn The Floor, is the electrifying Latin and Ballroom dance spectacular thrilling audiences in over 30 countries. Playing a limited 12-week engagement, previews begin on July 25 at The Longacre Theatre 220 W. 48 St.

The Chicago production of Jersey Boys, the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning hit musical, celebrated its one millionth patron last week. The lucky person was Carol Miller from Orland Park, IL, who found out at the end of the matinee performance on June 3 when the cast announced her name and asked her to join them on stage. Carol was treated to spectacular prizes, including a private meeting with the cast, show memorabilia including an autographed poster and Playbill.

Mamma Mia! will officially become the 15th longest-running show in Broadway history on Saturday, June 27th when it plays its 3,183 performance, surpassing the record previously held by the play Tobacco Road. In celebration of the landmark, 15 brides will have the opportunity to win tickets to the record-breaking matinee performance for a Fab 15 bachelorette party, followed by a meet and greet with the Broadway stars, celebratory wedding cake and a champagne toast. One lucky bride will win a grand prize honeymoon trip to London to see Mamma on the West End by catching a bouquet thrown by Broadway bride-to-be Brandi Burkhardt. For a limited time only $15.00 tickets will be available with the purchase of one full priced ticket for June 20 - July 5 performances.

Last but not least the Roundabout will presents Ordinary Days, a new musical with Music & Lyrics by Adam Gwon, directed by Marc Bruni. From the bustling streets to the quiet rooftops, Ordinary Days tells the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives are unexpectedly interconnected by circumstance. The series of funny and fortuitous events in this intimate, fast-paced musical proves that ordinary days can be simply extraordinary. Previews October 2, 2009 so look for more news on this.
