Philadelphia activates emergency operations center due to Septa strike

The city of Philadelphia has activated its emergency operations center to help deal with transportation concerns due to the strike by Septa union employees.

During tomorrow's rush hour, the operations center will be manned by representatives from the Police Department, the Fire Department, the Parking Authority and the Philadelphia School District, among others.

Septa services not running are the Market-Frankford Line, the Broad Street Line and Broad -Ridge Spur, the Frontier Division bus routes, and all City Transit Division bus and trolley routes.

In service are Septa commuter trains and Suburban Transit vehicles, Loop through University City and services for ADA and shared ride customers.
