Okay. I must confess. I have not watched "This Is It" yet. I plan to take my mother on a date this Sunday to do so. But, because I have free press passes to see the movie, I am required to post something about the movie by Nov.7. So, here it goes. Posted. ( Thankfully, someone was smart enough to extend the two-week movie showing until Thanksgiving!)
Check back Monday morning for an actual review.

Monday Morning UPDATE: Regal Theatres wouldn't allow passes this weekend, so I still have not seen the movie!!!

This is it review (FINALLY!):
Today I finally got a chance to see "This Is It." If I could describe the movie in one word it would be cliché but true: phenomenal.
Michael Jackson was set to put on a great show. High energy, amazing choreography, videography, costumes, background dancers and singers, musicians. You name it, Jackson had the very best. What I found most rewarding from watching the movie was Jackson's ability to lead with authority and humility. There was a scene where he was working with the keyboard player on the instrumental intro to "The way you make me feel." Jackson had a clear vision on what how he wanted the intro to sound and wouldn't stand for anything less. But his tone was always very gentle, and he managed to sneak in phrases like "it's done with love"and "I love you" and "God bless you."
"This is It" will live on forever . . .
