"The best thing to spend on our children is time"

Every once and awhile we see or hear something that emboldens us to believe the mantra that we can be anything as long as we put our minds to it. That moment came for me while listening to the song, I love Oasis recorded and mixed by the children of the Oasis Community Corp.'s After School programs housed in New York City.

Recently, I have had the privilege of getting to know the Oasis family and I am impressed by an amazing group of individuals committed to serving the needs of our children, while exposing them to new and uncharted territory. The Oasis Community Corporation serves over 1600 students in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. By committing themselves to students in under-served communities they are helping to knock down the stereotypes that pervade inner city you and helping to give them a chance, when many have already counted them out.

To find out more information on this great group check out http://www.oasiskids.org

The proof is in the pudding, check out the song their pre-k and kindergarten students recorded. Amazing, we need more programs like this for our youth. Help sustain this great organization's efforts by going to their website and donating a small donation to ensure that our children are receiving the care and support they deserve.
