Jerry Curington, Florida's Deputy General Counsel of the Executive Office of the Governor told Karl Hindle Monday that he had contacted the Department of Children and Family (DCF) in regard to their [mis]handling of his daughter's case. Hindle also heard from Susan Counts, Assistant Director of the Statewide Advocacy Council.
Hindle wrote to Governor Crist recently, advising him that after many attempts at a resolution, if he was ignored yet again he would file in Federal Court against the State of Florida.
In Hindle's letter he wrote, in part:
[T]he British Supreme Court ordered E to receive medical treatment for her eye condition to prevent her blindness.
This did not happen and has been ignored by DCF, law enforcement and the FL court.
Further the FL court was made aware repeatedly that Florida did not in fact have jurisdiction due to lack of legal residency, the British Supreme Court being lied to about the length of time the mother resided in your state. Nevertheless, the judge involved, Judge Doyle, ignored this and wrongly retained E in your State.
Also ignored has been the efforts of the mother to sell our child and giving her into the care of a convicted pedophile, Leslie Merriam.
For several years I have been the target of false police reporting, false DCF reporting and have been deeply distressed at the conduct and disregard demonstrated towards E and myself. E is now permanently blinded and I hold Florida responsible for the abject failure to protect this little girl.
Hindle's daughter was illegally abducted from the UK to the States by her mother Sheila Fuith in 2003. After filing false domestic violence and child abuse allegations against Hindle, Fuith was hidden by the Domestic Abuse Council's battered women's shelter in Deland, as well as other shelters in Florida. Employee's of some of these Violence Against Women's Act (VAWA)-funded shelters knowingly filed false police reports against Hindle. Last month Hindle filed in Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal on his daughter's behalf.
