Why show a Frost Advisory Map for places well to our north and west? Well, we could have that much closer to home tomorrow morning. With the main storm track sitting well to our south, it is behaving like March and may feel like March. The national weather maps are in the slide show below. We will have a warm up by the end of the week and Preakness weekend.
The frost this morning was was as close as the Poconos and western PA. The core of the cold air will settle overhead by tonight. This is the time of the year, where the city and places by the Chesapeake Bay will be protected and slightly warmer. However, just outside the beltway, and interior sections of the Eastern Shore may drop into the mid or lower 30s Wednesday morning. That could affect some tender vegetation. It's not the latest frost for the Baltimore area, but much later than the normal April 15th.
The record low temperature for Wednesday morning is 36F set in1996. That may be challenged.
