Late Morning Update
Temperatures have been rising all morning thanks to the shift and pick up of southerly winds. The clouds continue to dominate the sky, but the rain will likely hold off until tonight or tomorrow.
One thing I have noticed, is a shift in how the computer models are handling this storm. I have a more detailed view of the models in this morning's post (click here). A few waves of low pressure will spread our way, while very cold air will dive south towards the Gulf Coast behind the storm. It's these waves of Low Pressure that may slow down the progress of the cold air and change over to snow. I still expect snow and a potential travel issue, but instead of my earlier thought of it being on Thursday morning, it may have to wait until later Thursday and Friday. I do not have much confidence in any model now, but want to see how this cold front behaves today. Watching the progress, especially on the southern end will help me figure out how long until it swings through Maryland. Below is my updated 7 Day forecast showing the delay of the 'cold enough' air, along with the turn over until later on Thursday. This is still subject to change, but plan on the rest of this week being storm.
