This is a day I am grateful that I get to post online- here, on my website and ABC2news.com. Things change, and the weekend is when most of us notice it. We had a guest in our studio yesterday, and he asked me if Saturday would be dry. He had tickets to the Navy/Notre Dame game. At 9:15am- it looked like morning showers would move out in time for kickoff. Then the morning package of computer models came in. Needless to say, it finally had that coastal I've been talking about, and brought more rain back in for the weekend. So just minutes after he left, I had made an adjustment to my forecast to keep us wet. This man left the building, and I never got to tell him. If you see my forecast on TV, and I have a change to make... I am grateful to be able to do so online.
That said, this is a complex storm, and so far is behaving as expected.
Basically, I do expect rain to be moderate to heavy this afternoon. Drizzle and fog tonight and Friday morning. More rain Friday night and Saturday. The cold surge does look promising to produce snow showers early next week. Below are the Adonis Model images I used on TV this morning: Today- Noon. Friday-Noon. Saturday-Morning. There are many other models I track as well. In the effor to slim down the length of my posts here, I just completed my model break down and my reasons for my snow forecast. You can find that on my web site .
