Florida’s Mount Dora is rich in gift and antique shopping along it’s downtown streets. As the lighted man appears and a repetitive chirping sounds to symbolize the time to cross, one may find themselves immersed in a charming country shopping atmosphere. Here, one may discover a long lost treasure at 5th Avenue Antique Mall & Emporium, a special baked treat for their furry friend at Piglet’s Pantry, Inc., a handmade toy at Country Cottage Crafts, or an autographed picture of their most admired celebrity at Uncle Al’s Time Capsule.

Besides the normal gift shops, the Mount Dora Center for the Arts is offering imaginative gift items created by local fine arts and crafts members from now until January 4th.
Come the third weekend in January, the celebrated Renninger’s Antique Extravaganza will arrive again at Renninger’s Twin Markets featuring over 1500 antique dealers. It’s a fun family venture with knick knacks, furniture, and food vendors stretched over a large green pasture; be prepared to spend a few hours.
Only an hour outside of Orlando, Mount Dora offers wonderful and unique gift and antique shopping for the whole family. Don’t forget to plan for lunch and dinner because the shopping will more than satisfy several hours.
