St. Louis Cardinals minor leaguer Wilfred Vivas was suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball Monday for a banned substance.
According to reports, Vivas tested positive for Methandienone, a metabolic drug.
Vivas,18, hit .158 in minor league ball, playing in 51 games for the Venezuelan Summer League team.
Vivas isn't the only player who has been caught using illegal substances. Sixty-seven other minor league players have tested positive this year for banned substances.
The AP released this report earlier today, and a comment from the organization should be imminent.
