Last year there were more then 2.5 million incidents of American's using a firearm to protect themselves. Yet we do not read about these incidents unless there is an unsatisfactory result for the victim. The media loves to play the victim trying to defend themselves only to be injured or killed with their own handgun. Yet every year there are over 2 million incidents where the victim stopped the violent attack by displaying a firearm, many times never needing to fire it.
Here are just a few examples Part Three;

In Toledo, Washington a 62-year-old home owner  was put on alert when he was awakened by the sound of someone breaking into his home. The intruder was coming toward him up the stairway in his house, the homeowner armed himself and twice told the intruder to "freeze," when he didn't comply, he fired one shot.

The robber burst inside a food market waving a gun, the suspect ordered the eight customers to the floor, when they didn’t move fast enough he began firing shots in the customers' direction, two shots hit the store owner, Mustapha Kassou. A customer with a concealed-carry permit leapt to his feet, drew his .45-cal. Colt revolver while yelling for the robber to drop the gun, when the robber didn't comply, the armed citizen shot him.

A young woman ran into a 70-year-old women’s home, yelling that her boyfriend was assaulting her. The homeowner phoned the police when the young woman’s rampaging boyfriend showed up before police could arrive, the elder women warned him to stay off her property but he ignored her. The homeowner’s 23-year-old grandson picked up a shovel and tried to block the boyfriend's advance but he pushed the grandson and took the shovel. The elder women ran inside and got her .38-cal. revolver. "I put the gun up and told him to get back or I will shoot," when the intruder kept coming brandishing the shovel." she fired a shot. "I didn't want to hurt him but I didn't want him to hurt me."
