The Royal Tavern is celebrating their 7th anniversary. The week-long celebration kicks off Wednesday, November 11. The menu at The Royal always has solid vegetarian options - the tempeh club sandwich and vegetarian sloppy joe are two go-to favorites. But on the evening of the 11th, starting at 5 pm, The Royal will be featuring only vegetarian and vegan items. There will also be specialty cocktails made from cruelty-free ingredients (bet you didn't know that a lot of spirits are made with ingredients that make them unsuitable for the most rigorous vegans).

Really love animals? You'll be happy to know that a portion of the proceeds from the night will be donated to PAWS.

Not sure that you love vegetarian food? First, check it out. You'll likely be surprised. Still not convinced? Make sure to hit The Royal on a night other than the 11th. Their burgers are award winning. There are nightly specials (some vegan/vegetarian, others not), and the other items on the menu are drool-inducing.

Not to be overlooked is the beer - the beer list is fantastic. Locals and other craft brews on draft and a great selection by the bottle, too. They also have a Monday - Friday happy hour from 4 - 6 pm featuring 1/2 price drafts.

You wouldn't be treated any better if you were royalty yourself.
