Milian and The-Dream on the cover of VIBE Magazine
Christina Milian went topless with her fiancé, R&B singer The-Dream, for the cover of Vibe Magazine’s final issue. The raunchy photo spread is said to promote Milian’s upcoming “Elope” album which is set to be released later this year.
Milian, has shed her shirt along with her “good girl” image and traded in her signature jet black locks for bleached blonde hair. Is she bringing sexy back or has she gone too far?
“I’ve always thought that Christina Milian was such a beautiful girl,” said Los Angeles based Image Consultant Carl Gibbs. “I’m disappointed that she chose to go this route. These photos were not tastefully done at all.”
Sabrina King of Brooklyn, NY agrees. “I think Christina has forgotten who she is and is now slowly becoming the person she said she wouldn't be,” she said. “She fails to realize that her fans loved her because she was herself.”
Possibly a ploy to get the attention of the media, Milian bares close to all in the 9-page spread starring she and her beau.
One fan of Vibe magazine, which folded late last month, is also disappointed in what was the FINAL cover of the once highly favored periodical. “I can’t believe that VIBE is going to celebrate the end of an era with this cover,” said Sampson McKinley of Los Angeles. “I’ve been subscribing to that magazine since it first hit shelves in 1993. All the great hip-hop and R&B stars of my generation have graced the covers and they chose these two to end it? Rest in peace VIBE.”
Other fans beg to differ. "They look like they have amazing chemisty," said Jache Lloyd of Highland Park, CA. "The-Dream is hot right now, Christina is hot. I'm happy for them."
Chris Johnson agrees. "I hate to see VIBE go, but the last cover is definitely an eye catcher."
The final issue of VIBE magazine is on stands now.
