November has rolled around and the prime-time speedball season is at it’s close with the onset of cooler weather. While some speedballers are packing it in and getting ready to hibernate for the winter, most woodballers are getting their gear out and ready for this more favored weather.
Seasons aren’t the only thing changing, however. With the ever closer approaching release date of .50 Cal paintballs & .50 Cal gear there have been many mixed emotions towards its arrival. How much will this new caliber really catch on? Who knows. But, there are a few things we do know.
1. .50 Caliber will be cheaper than .68 in the long run if it does catch on.
2. .68 Caliber will still be around for years to come.
3. If you want to shoot .50 Cal you wont have to buy a whole new setup.
For those of you who do want to have the option of shooting .50 Cal it may just be the simple matter of purchasing a conversion kit for you marker, switching back and forth easily whenever you choose. Check out this video of Jack Wood from Planet Eclipse as he converts an Ego from .68 to .50 in about 2 minutes. This looks like an easy and cheap solution to solve the .50 Cal controversy.
