Robert Pattinson the next James Bond?

Rumor has it that Robert Pattinson wants to be the next James Bond.  Currently in NYC filming Remember Me with co-star and former 007 Pierce Brosnan, the possibility of Pattinson becoming a future Bond has sparked conversation's galore on internet forums. According to Worldof007.com, "Pattinson is said to have long dreamed of playing the part.  And with his good looks, charm and British pedigree, he might just get the opportunity."

Speculation regarding other possible roles including mob gangster have also surfaced.  In a recent interview with movie producer Harvey Weinstein, US Magazine reported Weinstein's eagerness to cast Rob as gangster Joe Gallo, also known as "Crazy Joe"  (formerly played by actor Joe Mantegna in The Godfather Part III), should author Tom Folsom's novel be turned into a movie.  Weinstein and Pattinson worked together at this year's Cannes Film Festival, collaborating for the amfAR benefit.  Weinstein auctioned off two Pattinson kisses to raise money for AIDS research.  Said Weinstein, "Rob Pattinson, I made him kiss girls in Cannes.  He's the most charming, wonderful young man.  He really cared about the charity and that's not an easy thing to do.  That's a sweet, sweetheart thing to do.  And then we got two bids."

Designer suit?  --Check.

Devilishly handsome?  --Check.

British accent?  --Check.

Charming?  --Check.
