Brad Paisley - American Saturday Night

Brad Paisley's latest release, American Saturday Night debuts at the top of the Billboard Country Albums chart. His debut sales totaled 129,527 copies, and of that total, 20% was from digital sales. This places him in third place for country artists that have released new albums this year. How does everyone stack up? Here are the numbers:

First Week Sales for Country Releases

• Rascal Flatts' are way out ahead of everyone else, with first week sales of 351,025 copies of Unstoppable.
• Keith Urban's Defying Gravity had first week sales of 171,525 copies.
• Brad Paisley takes the third spot with first week sales of 129,527 for American Saturday Night.
• Jason Aldean's first week sales for Wide Open were 108,960.
• Kenny Chesney's first week sales for his Greatest Hits 2 were 89,367.

Carrie Underwood adds more Gold & Platinum Certifications

As was announced yesterday Carrie Underwood will be releasing her third album on November 3. Today, there is more good news for Carrie, as she received platinum certification for "All-American Girl," and gold certification for "Just a Dream." This makes all five of the singles released from her nearly 3x platinum Carnival Ride having been certified at either gold or platinum.

More Carrie trivia: She is the first country artist in history to receive 10 #1 singles from their first two albums.
