Ladies, are we still doing this? This is wrong on so many levels. I was on the train running my usual errands and could not believe my eyes. I saw a woman wearing bright red lipstick with jet black lip liner. I gasped! I wanted so bad to tell her that your lipstick should compliment your face not bring negative attention to it, but in a nice way. There are too many fashion magazines and shows that give great tips on the proper way to wear lipstick for this beauty faux pas to still be going on. You should never line your lips with black lip liner no matter the color of your lipstick. Lip liner is simply used to define your lips and compliment your lipstick color.

The proper way to wear lip liner with your lipstick: 1.Outline your lips with a lip liner that is slightly darker than your lipstick color. 2.Apply your lipstick using a color that closely matches the lip liner. 3.Use a lipstick brush to blend the lip liner with your lipstick. 4.Apply a sheer lipgloss. That’s it, very easy and quick but you have to have the right colors and learn to master this easy yet important technique.
