For those of you attending any of the Inaugural Ball events, by all means go full glam! Last year I was fortunate enough to attend a wonderful Black Tie event and almost everyone was stunning head to toe. There were only a few people who stuck out like a sore thumb and it wasn’t pretty. You can tell that they felt very uncomfortable and underdressed. It was a complete mess and I really felt bad for them. I want to stop you from being in that bunch before it’s too late. Do not go out and just buy an evening gown, a pair of shoes, accessories and put on some makeup. Have a plan!

Here are 11 great fashion and beauty tips to help you look your absolute best for your Inaugural Ball event:

1.Know your best color. 2.Know what neckline, shape and length of garment compliments you best. 3.Now that you know tip 1-2 go pick out your evening gown, shoes and accessories (statement pieces only). If your stuck please hire a style team. This is not a night to look tacky. 4.Get a facial one week before the event to have flawless skin the night of the event. 5.Make your appointment to get a Mani - Pedi the day of or before the event. 6.I hope you made an appointment with a great Hairstylist a month ago if not get a move on it pronto! 7.DO NOT forget to wax or shave your arm pits, legs, upper lip and get those eye brows arched and DON’T forget to put on deodorant. Trust me people forget. 8.Pack your clutch the night before with lip gloss, mints, tissue, business cards, scented lotion and your ID. 9.The day of the event eat light yet very healthy well up until 2-3 hours before the event. We don’t want you falling out because you only ate celery sticks to fit in your dress. 10.Hire a great Makeup Artist to do your makeup (trust me on this). 11. Enjoy your night with confidence because you look and feel absolutely Glamorous!

Note: If you wear a statement necklace don’t overpower your look with a statement bracelet. You want to look effortless, not overdone and tacky. Also, your ensemble should flow not look pieced together poorly and wear your hair beautifully swept back or down in lush soft defined waves or curls.
