Fashionable Women (and some Men depending on their lifestyle) have all caught the false eyelash craze better known as Lashes. It is so much more than a fad so please DO NOT call it that. They were first introduced to us back in the early 20’s when Flappers wore them to seduce men by their dance and the bat of an eye. Decades later it has finally caught on as a fashion trend. They are worn for glamour and has become a necessity to the fabulous all over the world.
False eyelashes have evolved from being something people adorn their eyes with to look drop dead gorgeous for special events and occasions to being a MUST HAVE item in their daily beauty routine. They make your eyes look brighter, sophisticated and FIERCE all rolled in one!
I find that some people shy away from them because they may have tried to apply them on their own and was unsuccessful, don’t know what style to wear for their individual look or you just haven’t met me yet…lol! They make you feel all types of fabulous and I always say try them once and I guarantee that you will never look at yourself the same way again.
For those who know me personally know that I have been wearing Strip Lashes since I was in the 9th grade. I was teased for being the girl who wore Lashes, a mean platform heel and wild big hair. I laugh now but back then it was awful being an individual but I now appreciate having gone through that because it made me who I am today. My love for fabulous Thick and Long Lashes are beyond an obsession it has become a necessity.
I have an eyelash line coming out soon but until then listed below and seen above are my absolute favorites. You can find them all at sephora.com, Maccosmetics.com or at your local favorite beauty store.
The best way to achieve a successful look out of Strip Lashes is knowing that they each serve a purpose to enhance and create balance to your face and hairstyle. 1. The Full Lash should be worn with long straight looks or messy deep wave hairstyles, M.A.C. 2. The Center Lash should be worn with short crop hairstyles, Laura Mercier 3. The Half (Corner) Lash should be worn with chic pony tail looks or hair styles with short bangs, Ardell 4. The Flare Lash should be worn with sophisticated long or short pulled back hair styles, Unknown 5. The Demi Lash is the more complicated Lash. They were created for the woman who wants more volume or length of a Lash on the hush and yet they have different styles. If you are this woman buy your Demi Lashes according to what hairstyles they compliment and you will be just fine, Ardell. The extra photo is shu uemura.
Until next time,
Live Well & Live Fabulous!
