Several Triangle chain restaurants are showing their appreciation for veterans and active duty military this Veteran's Day, November 11th, by offering free meals or appetizers.

To take advantage of these offers, some of the restaurants are only requiring proof of military service.

At Applebee's, all veterans and active duty military will receive a free entree and can select from a limited menu of six favorites. Dine-in only during normal business hours on November 11, 2009.  Beverages and gratuity are not included.

Outback Steakhouse is giving thanks on Veteran's Day by offering a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage to all veterans and active duty military on November 11th.

Golden Corral is celebrating U.S. Military Appreciation on Monday, November 16th by holding a free "Thank You" Dinner at all participating locations from 5 to 9pm.  All persons who have served in the US Military (retired, veterans, active duty, National Guard or Reserves) are eligible for a free meal. No identification is required for the service member.
