It's almost Nutcracker season
It's not too soon to start thinking about purchasing your tickets to upcoming holiday shows and events. Some holiday events in Matthews go on sale next week. Stay tuned other holiday show ideas in future articles.
Matthews Ballet Presents: The Nutcracker: The Matthews Ballet is performing the Nutcracker at the Matthews Community Center in downtown Matthews. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 12. Of note, following both Sunday performances (Nov. 29 and Dec. 5) is the traditional Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party at 5pm. Meet the cast while enjoying ice cream and cake! ($5/person) Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Call (704) 321-7275 for more information.

Sat., December 5: 7pm
Sun., December 6: 3pm
Breakfast with Santa: Also at the Matthews Community Center is the very popular Breakfast with Santa event, this year being held on Sat., Dec. 12 and Sat., Dec. 19. There are two sittings: 9am and 10:45am. This event is recommended for children ages 2-8 and is $5 per person (including adults). Don't forget your camera! Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
