Dresses for a Cure will hold its Holiday Dress Sale on November 7, 2009 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at Crompton Place, 138 Green Street, Worcester, MA.

Dresses for a Cure is a Nonprofit organization launched in 2007 that collects gently worn dresses in all styles and sizes.   These dresses are then sold for $20.00 each with all profits going to UMass Memorial Foundation's Walk to Cure Cancer Program. This program helps to fund cancer research at UMass Medical which is home to many research scientists and doctors working to find a cure for all types of cancer.

Dresses for a Cure was launched by Tina Grindeland to help make a
difference in the fight against cancer. Having lost several family members over the years to various types of cancer, Grindeland was frustrated that a cure has yet to be found. Dresses for a Cure is passionate about making a difference for those affected by cancer. Says Tina, “By involving people to not only donate the dresses but also purchase those dresses, we create a win-win for all those involved. Our volunteer base is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more, and have a larger impact upon our community.”
