Everyone knows that diets really do work, but what good are they if the weight returns? Statistics show that 80 to 90 percent of dieters regain every lost pound. And it’s this fact that represents the largest and least addressed problem in obesity management.

So, where are skills needed to maintain a new, smaller body size?  Certainly they are not obvious or intuitive, they have to be taught.

On Monday, January 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at  Molinari’s,  Dr. Barbara Berkeley, author of Refuse to Regain, will share her twelve tough rules for maintaining a new body once you’ve earned it. Molinari's is located at 8900 Mentor Ave. in Mentor.

The event will also feature refreshments and hors d’oeuvres prepared from recipes in her book.

Dr. Berkeley’s book, Refuse to Regain, will be available for purchase and Dr. Berkeley will be available throughout the evening to sign it. The event is free, but space is limited.  Call 440-953-6000 to register.
