Breast Cancer Awareness month is now over. However, women are still being diagnosed with the disease every day. This Examiner, for example, was diagnosed on October 22nd. On November 23rd, I’ll go to St. Luke's Hospital to undergo a mastectomy.

Since this isn’t really the forum to write about my journey, I began a blog. I’m detailing what’s happening, so that women who follow me will have an idea of what to expect. If you’d like to read it, here's the link:

I hope it inspires all women to go get that mammogram. Had I done it 8 years ago, I may have only had a lumpectomy.
