With less than two weeks left until Affliction Trilogy, heavyweight Josh Barnett discusses his upcoming bout with Fedor Emelianenko for the WAMMA heavyweight championship that Fedor won when he defeated former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia. Barnett has won his last four fights including the last two under the Affliction banner. Fedor has won just about everyone of his fights, as his lone loss came back in 2000 and that was due to a cut he sustained.
These two men are considered to be good friends and many have wondered why it has taken so long for this bout to happen. They both fought for the now defunct Pride organization from 2004 to 2006. Both men have faced many of the same opponents including Cro-Cop, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Semmy Schilt. Fedor has wrecked anyone that has been put in front of him and while Barnett will give him a more competitve match than he has seen in a long time, the outcome will still be the same. Another victory for Fedor.
