UFC 100 is officially the second largest grossing event in the company's history. With a paid attendance of 9,793 the event brought in a live gate of $5,128,490 according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

UFC 66 remains as the company's highest grossing show with a gate of $5,397,300. That event featured a rematch between then UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell and former champion Tito Ortiz.

UFC 100 featured a main card that had three bouts that could have main evented any card. The first was a middleweight match-up between the opposing coaches of season nine of The Ultimate Fighter as team UK coach Michael Bisping took on team USA coach Dan Henderson. UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre defended his title against Thiago Alves and UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar fought the interim heavyweight champion and the only man to have defeated him in his young career, Frank Mir.
