Who knew reality TV was such a lucrative business? According to the Hollywood Reporter, American Idol’s front man Ryan Seacrest is finalizing a deal that would make him one of the highest paid entertainers in Reality TV. Bad news for Lauren Conrad.
Seacrest’s currently rakes in a mere $5 million a year for his work on Idol. His new deal will extend his contract by three years and deliver the smiling host a hefty pay raise.
Talk of Seacrest’s contract extension comes on the heels of a report that Simon Cowell may be considering a 144 million dollar a year offer to stay on as Idol's judge you love to hate. As if the King of Criticism is worth a penny less.
