The Jonas Brothers have found a way to encourage fans to volunteer more in their local communities--through text messaging, according to their organization website: www.changeforthechildren.org.

#1: If you are younger than 13 years of age, ask your parents for permission.

#2: Text the Jonas Brothers at 30644.

#3: Enter your zip code in the message body.

#4: You will be getting 2 volunteer opportunities once a month near where you live.

#5: You can get your pals, your group, your team, and even family involved with your volunteer opportunities!

Additionally, two charities, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation are two fun organizations where you can help kids who are very sick.

Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to ill kids age 18 and under, and raises money to make the wishes come true through various fundraising activities.

Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation creates parties, entertainment, outings, and events for ill kids age 18 and under at and outside of hospitals.

For Make-A-Wish Foundation:

#1: If you are still in school, your teacher/club advisor can look into this website: www.wish.org/help/fundraising/kids_for_wish_kids/about_the_program.  This is for "Kids for Wish Kids" Program which is a popular program according to www.wish.org.

#2: If you want to share ideas of how to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation, click here: www.wish.org/help/fundraising/fundraising_ideas.

#4: If you are in college, get your club or fraternity/sorority to help by clicking here for steps: www.wish.org/help/fundraising/wishmakers_on_campus/about_the_program.  See an example in Jonah Bronstein's article here: www.niagara-gazette.com/archivesearch/local_story_106224002.html.

#5: Wishes by kids age 18 and under vary, from getting a drum set to attending the Grammy Awards, according to the press release sent by Make-A-Wish.

For Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation:
