Nick Jonas took a long trip to Washington D.C. to meet President Barack Obama, according to People.com (www.people.com/people/article/0,,20286939,00.html). The White House was holding a meeting with the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Hearing about government funding for type 1 diabetes research. Nick testified at this meeting in front of many politicans.
Nick attended since he has diabetes, diagnosed at the age of 13, according to www.jonasbrotheresfanclub.com/splash/
Washington D.C. is a big city for politics, which was a different experience for Nick, according to People Magazine (see the first link above). He got to meet people with household names such as Sugar Ray Leonard and Mary Tyler Moore.
Nick thought it was cool to meet these 2 people. He had his picture taken with 100 kids outside the White House after signing autographs. Parents thought kids were more excited to meet Nick than the President, according to People Magazine.
